Julian Eltinge – female impersonator – huge collection of articles

This has nothing to do with music, but I thought I should post it here since it’s my blog for scanned articles.

I came across this old 1910’s-1960’s theater scrapbook on the female impersonator Julian Eltinge and needed to share it with the world. Many articles are falling apart and might be hard to read but they might also be the only ones that still exist.

Enjoy this rare piece of history (in almost chronological order):

Copyright issues are nothing new. I’m sure a lot of you remember the “Home-taping kills music” logo – but did you care much about the discussion going on then? Here are some scans on the topic – all of them found in old music magazines from your favorite decade.
